Ms. Kondilis is a trainer, counselor, educator, and researcher. She began her professional career working in the mental health field in the mid 1990’s with children and adults, groups, and families. Her background further allowed her to work for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as part of the Public Health Prevention Service, later working with chronic diseases in the state of Rhode Island, spearheading several health communication initiatives. She is Assistant Professor at Hellenic American College/Hellenic American University. Her research interests include health literacy, psychology, chronic and infectious diseases, diversity, volunteer management, as well as non-governmental organization leadership and management. She has trained several groups on topics such as bullying prevention, smoking prevention, healthy relationships, health communication, presenting oneself successfully to the public, being effective, among others. She founded the first Toastmasters Club in Greece (HAU Athens Toastmasters) aimed at building public speaking and leadership skills. Born in Boston, Ms. Kondilis is currently working on her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics, holds two Masters degrees (Public Health, Social Work), and has an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
